The number of offline kindergartens in Mykolaiv has been increased to 43

In Mykolaiv, the number of kindergartens operating in full-time mode has been increased to 43.

The decision was made at a meeting of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council on 11 March, according to NikVesti.

As of 1 September 2025, there were 38 kindergartens operating offline in the city, and now their number has been increased to 43, according to Hanna Lychko, head of the city council's education department.

At the same time, she reported that as of 1 March 2026, the educational process had been suspended in 28 kindergartens in the internal preschool division of Primary School №1 of the city council. Their work will be resumed after the buildings and premises have been inspected and the possibility of using them as simple shelters has been determined.

As of August 2024, approximately one thousand shelters still need to be equipped in educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region. These include kindergartens, schools, and universities.
