In Pervomaisk, there are plans to renovate the hospital with the support of international partners. The city council is preparing to approve a memorandum of cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) as part of the «Restoring and Strengthening Community Capacities» (HREF) project.
The relevant draft decision was published on the city council's website.
According to the document, the cooperation involves the implementation of a project to open a rehabilitation centre based at the District Medical Centre branch of the municipal non-profit enterprise «Pervomaisk Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital».
It is planned to redesign the premises on the first floor of the hospital and repair the roof. The hospital will also be provided with the necessary equipment.
It is expected that this will improve the conditions for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
The final scope of work will be determined in writing, and the specific terms and conditions for the fulfilment of mutual obligations will be set out in separate agreements.
The final decision on the approval of the memorandum is to be made by deputies at a session of the City Council.
It should be noted that with the support of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), there were plans to modernise the municipal multi-profile hospital in Pervomaisk. Major work was planned on the second floor of the medical building. In particular, the renovation of medical offices, wards and bathrooms, and shower rooms, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities.
It was also reported that in Pervomaisk, the building of the former Delphin kindergarten would be converted into a centre for victims of domestic and gender-based violence. Part of the funds were provided to the city by international partners.
