A flash mob is rapidly spreading on social media, in which women offer help to new mothers whose relatives are unable to pick them up from the hospital and take them home. The initiative has grown into a wave of women's solidarity across the country: mutual support groups have already begun to form in different cities of Ukraine. Mykolaiv has also joined the movement.

According to NikVesti, it all started with a TikTok video by a Kyiv-based author under the nickname aminushka_aaa. The video caused a significant response and touched women across Ukraine. In the video, the author offered to pick up women in labour from maternity hospitals for free if their relatives cannot do so for some reason.

«Nowadays, there are a lot of reasons for our women to be stronger, and there is not always someone to call for help... but who are we not to support each other?» the video description reads.

Later, Mykolaiv created its own community — the telegram group «Help for Women» (Dopomoha_zhinkam). Here, both local residents and women from different regions of Ukraine and even from Europe offer to meet a woman in labour from the maternity hospital, give her a ride home or help her with the necessary things.

The group's organiser, Yelyzaveta Danyliuk, encourages women not to hesitate to ask for support.

«Girls, if you have no one to pick you up from the maternity ward, don't hesitate to tell us. We will help you. We see that there are a lot of us and we are ready to meet you with pleasure: with flowers, with balloons, some by car, some just by taxi. Just know that you are not the only ones, do not give up, do not give up,» she stressed.

In the community, you can not only leave a request for a ride or other assistance, but also communicate and get useful information.

The group invites everyone to join the good cause and support women in an important and at the same time difficult period of their lives.

As reported earlier, NikVesti wrote that triplets of boys born last week in Mykolaiv were discharged from hospital.
