Mykolaiv region has restored 44% of the 16,000 objects damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian aggression. As a result, the region is among Ukraine's leaders in cooperation with international partners in the field of reconstruction.

This was stated by Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the air of the telethon «Yedyni Novyny».

«We have restored 44% of the 16,000 facilities that were damaged or destroyed. We are moving at a strong pace, but now the process has slowed down somewhat due to the slowdown in business and international partners. The most difficult projects remain,» said Vitalii Kim.

He also stressed that the main focus of the OBA's work is now the development of the region's economy.

«We are moving to the creation of economic industrial parks, industrial sites and projects that can attract investment, generate profits and generate tax revenues,» the head of the region stressed.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv is one of five cities in Ukraine that will receive World Bank funds for reconstruction projects. We wrote in more detail about how 150 million hryvnias was decided to be spent on creating projects for the reconstruction of 54 buildings and the surrounding area in our article: «Reconstruction or just documents».

However, it turned out that the list of these 54 houses included at least four addresses for which the production of design and estimate documentation had already been ordered in 2023-2024, i.e., the city budget had already been spent.
