Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric has said that Belgrade is ready to mediate in talks between Ukraine and Russia to end the war.

He said this in an interview with Fox News.

According to him, Serbia has good relations with both sides and can offer its assistance if there is a need or interest.

«We are ready to facilitate negotiations to stop this terrible tragedy that has caused so many deaths and destruction», said Marko Djuric.

He also stressed that the war should end as soon as possible, and that Serbia supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states within internationally recognised borders, including Ukraine.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump said that during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he called for a peace agreement and «to stop where there is».

During the briefing, Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed with his words, noting that «we have to stop where we are now, and Donald Trump is right — it is important to stop it and then start a conversation».

As a reminder, Donald Trump said that he intends to end Russia's war against Ukraine as soon as possible and is convinced that «is already quite close to this». He also assured that he would not allow the war in Ukraine to escalate to the level of a global conflict.
