The city of Pervomaisk plans to modernise its multidisciplinary hospital with the support of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).

The relevant agreement between the city council and the international organisation is to be approved during a session of the Pervomaisk City Council.

The project is aimed at improving the medical infrastructure and conditions for providing assistance to community residents, including those affected by the war.

According to the document, the hospital will carry out major works on the second floor of the medical building. In particular, medical offices, wards and bathrooms will be renovated, shower rooms will be equipped to meet the needs of people with disabilities, and electrical and plumbing work will be carried out.

The project aims to improve the reliability and efficiency of basic services in communities affected by the hostilities. It is expected that upon completion of the works, the residents of Pervomaisk will receive modern and safe conditions for treatment, and the hospital will be able to better respond to the needs of patients.

The project will be implemented by a contractor selected by NRC in accordance with international procurement procedures. If necessary, the implementation period may be extended, for example, in case of force majeure or security circumstances.

As a reminder, the building of the former kindergarten «Dolphin» in Pervomaisk will be converted into a centre for victims of domestic and gender-based violence. Part of the funds were provided by international partners.
