In 2025, Mykolaiv region plans to create another industrial park focused on agro-processing, food and furniture industries, as well as metalworking and related industries.
This is described in the article NikVesti «Special economic zone for Mykolaiv: a chance to stop the outflow of business or a risk for the budget»
Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv SEA, said that 100 hectares of the territory have already been prepared, and in the future the park will reach 250 hectares. The operator will be a company that has experience in managing similar parks in Ukraine, including Bila Tserkva. By the end of the year, the company plans to complete the design of engineering networks at the expense of the state budget and officially register the park.
«The plan is to locate about 60 plants, of which six have already been preliminarily agreed upon. But they are all waiting for the war to end to start working,» said Vitalii Kim.
To support such projects in Mykolaiv region, a regional programme for 2025-2027 has been developed and approved. It provides for compensation of up to 50% of the cost of landscaping for enterprises that will be located in industrial parks.
At the same time, the head of the RMA admitted that investors are still cautious about the region due to its proximity to the frontline.
«Potential investors are showing restraint due to significant risks to the security of investments, stability of economic activity and long-term business development prospects,» said Vitalii Kim.
Despite this, Vitalii Kim is convinced that the creation of the park will be one of the drivers of the region's recovery:
«We have been working on this project for a year now, and it may take another year. This is a complex process where you have to run twice as fast to move forward. We are working in a comprehensive manner — we need to restore vocational education so that businesses have trained employees. We are planning to create English-language courses and facilities for children so that executives of companies, including foreign ones, can move here with their families,» said Vitalii Kim.
We would like to remind you that two industrial parks have already been registered in the region, but none of them has started operating yet. These are the SUNART industrial park in the Kryve Ozero community and the «Techno Park Voznesensk» industrial park in the Voznesensk community.
