Andrii Vadatursky, Oleksii's son and the new CEO of Nibulon, addressed the guests:

«We have lost our father, but we have preserved his legacy and today we continue on the path of sustainability and development. The film about Oleksii Vadaturskyi is an example for the whole of Ukraine of how not to give up and stay the course, even when there is no map,» he said.

Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, also spoke, stressing that business resilience during the war is a strategic strength of the state, as the economy becomes a weapon in the war for independence.

Oleksii Pavlenko, Advisor to the CEO of Nibulon, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in 2014-2016, also shared his memories:

«Oleksii Vadaturskyi was the man who stood at the heart of the Ukrainian agricultural industry in its current form. He created a symbol of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, and he became a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian nation,» Pavlenko added.

Kyrylo Horobets, Executive Producer at «FILM.UA Group», noted that the film is not only about the past, but also about the future, as the story of one person can change the face of a country.

Oleksii Vadaturskyi

As you know, Oleksii Vadaturskyi was a Ukrainian agribusinessman, Hero of Ukraine, CEO of the agricultural enterprise Nibulon and Vice President of the Ukrainian Grain Association since February 2005.

In 2021, Forbes estimated the businessman's wealth at $430 million, and Oleksii Vadaturskyi was ranked 24th in the TOP 100 richest people in Ukraine.

On 31 July 2022, as a result of the shelling of Mykolaiv by Russian troops, the founder of Nibulon, Oleksii Vadaturskyi, was killed. His wife, Raisa Vadaturska, was killed in the house with him.

After the deaths of Oleksii Vadaturskyi and his wife, the Office of the President of Ukraine suggested that the company owner had been killed deliberately — the attack on his house had been targeted and adjusted. The prosecutor's office was in charge of the case, and the deceased's son, Andrii Vadaturskyi, hired private detectives to investigate the circumstances of his parents' death.

The funeral ceremony for the deceased couple took place on 5 August at St Volodymyr's Cathedral in Kyiv.

After the death of Oleksii Vadaturskyi, his son, former MP Andrii Vadaturskyi, became CEO of Nibulon.

In Mykolaiv, an exhibition was held in memory of Oleksiy Vadatursky, the founder and CEO of Nibulon, who was killed in the Russian shelling.

Prior to that, Nibulon had asked the Mykolaiv toponymy commission to rename Falieievska Street in honour of the company's founder, Oleksii Vadaturskyi, who was killed in a Russian shelling.

Subsequently, a mural in his honour was unveiled in Mykolaiv.
