In Mykolaiv region, the infrastructure damaged by Russian shelling has been restored by 99.7%.
This was reported by Vitalii Kim, head of the regional administration, on the air of «Yedyni Novyny».
According to him, the region is currently focusing on repairing social facilities, such as schools, kindergartens and shelters. At the same time, there are still questions about the state of the medical infrastructure and the quality of roads needed to transport people to hospitals.

As for the housing stock, according to Vitalii Kim, the restoration continues under the state programme «eVidnovlennia». Already 3843 residents have received compensation, while more than five thousand applications have been approved.
Despite the high level of recovery, Vitalii Kim says that the region is preparing for various scenarios, even the worst-case scenarios:
«For the fourth year, we have been preparing for the worst-case scenario. We have now reached such a level of crisis management that we are working out several options at once,» said the head of the RMA.
In addition, he said, the region is 73% ready for the new heating season. The local authorities are currently planning to purchase individual boiler houses so that the enemy cannot destroy the entire heating system of Mykolaiv in one blow. Kim also reminded that a government programme is being implemented to provide firewood to private homes during the cold weather. First of all, the fuel was provided to settlements up to 10 kilometres from the front line, while other applications are being processed.
Earlier, the head of the Regional Water Administration said that a new water supply system to provide Mykolaiv with drinking water could be launched in the coming days. At the same time, the first stage of the new treatment plant will be ready no earlier than October.
