The number of buses has almost doubled: Director of «Mykolaivpastrans» reports on his year in office

The director of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans» has reported on the first year of his work. According to him, over 12 months, the team managed to improve public transport, expand routes, upgrade the company's internal infrastructure and introduce a number of social initiatives.

He wrote about this in a post on his Facebook page.

Among the main achievements of the year, the official named an increase in the number of buses on the routes — from 21 to 38, which allowed to provide more flights for Mykolaiv residents.

The company has recruited a staff of drivers. Cashless payment terminals were installed in the buses, which increased the convenience and transparency of payment.

In addition, route 79 was extended to Varvarivka, one of the city's most remote districts.

The company has also set up its own repair shop and equipped locker rooms, showers and amenities for employees.

In addition, «Mykolaivpastrans» has implemented a number of social initiatives, including assistance to families of prisoners of war and missing defenders, children and people with disabilities.

«Helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine — we donated a car, helped with repairs at the company's facilities, and provided bus spare parts. This year was about the team, challenges, responsibility and results. I thank every employee of «Mykolaivpastrans» for their work and the people of Mykolaiv for their trust. It will continue,» the director concluded.

Earlier, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, said that in August the city authorities planned to launch a new bus route to the Velyka Korenyha neighbourhood.
