A plant for processing demolition waste in Mykolaiv has already processed 3,600 tonnes: that's about the size of three destroyed five-storey buildings

In two months of operation, a plant for processing construction waste from damaged buildings in Mykolaiv has processed 3,692 tonnes of rubble.

This was announced by the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, during a press conference on 30 July, summing up the results of the first half of the year, NikVesti.

«This wreckage is being processed into crushed stone, screenings and can be used, for example, in road paving and construction materials,» said Sienkevych.

A new plant for recycling demolition waste was launched in Mykolaiv in the summer of 2025. In particular, the plant will be used for the needs of two other regions: Kherson region and part of Kirovohrad region.

The city authorities are also going to launch the production of construction materials that will be processed from demolition waste and used to repair the city's infrastructure.
