The Tylihul Estuary still lacks a car park for holidaymakers whose cars can damage the unique plants of the regional landscape park «Tylihulskyi».

This is discussed in the article NikVesti: «The Tylihul Estuary in Wartime: How Nature and Tourism Co-Exist in the Face of Growing Popularity»

The law does not allow for the construction of car parks within the park, so the idea of creating a car park outside the park has been discussed for several years. However, this project has not yet been implemented. The main obstacle is that the park's boundaries have not been officially approved.

Back in 2018-2019, they were developing zoning documentation, but due to errors and an open criminal case, the process was blocked. Now they are preparing a new appeal to the Ministry of Environmental Protection with a request to approve the updated boundaries. In fact, the park's territory is 1,700 hectares larger than the one defined in 1995.

When the park's boundaries are approved, the issue of parking will be revisited, says Volodymyr Panych, head of the Kobleve community.

«The boundaries of the landscape park have not yet been approved. This issue is already somewhere on the way out. After that, we will decide together with them (the management of the park «Tylihulskyi», — note) where the parking will be, so that we have an understanding on this issue», said Volodymyr Panych.

In the meantime, there is no official car park, and there are restrictions on entry to certain areas of the park.

«We have restricted access to some areas of the park so that cars do not park there and do not disturb the grass cover. Currently, the situation is more or less under control,» says Oleksandr Diachenko, the park's manager.
