Ukraine and the UK start joint production of drones

This was announced by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umierov.
As part of the project, the UK will finance the purchase of Ukrainian drones to be manufactured in its territory for the first three years. It is expected that this will allow British defence companies to establish large-scale production of modern drone models.
«As long as the war is ongoing, all products will be used for the needs of the Defence Forces. After the war is over, the UK and Ukraine will distribute the drones produced between them», explained Ruslan Umierov.
According to Ruslan Umierov, the project will help expand technological capabilities, increase production volumes and deepen the integration of the defence industry of both countries.
As a reminder, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced plans to put the country's Armed Forces on «alert» due to increased global instability and growing military threats.
Earlier, it was reported that the UK and Germany would jointly develop a new weapon «of deep precision strike» with a range of over 2,000 kilometres.
It should also be recalled that the UK no longer restricts the use of its weapons by Ukrainian forces to strike Russian territory.
