Russian strike on Kyiv: death toll rises to 22

In Kyiv, the death toll from the Russian attack on 17 June has risen to 22. The bodies of six more people have been recovered from the rubble.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on the morning of 18 June.
In the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, where a Russian ballistic missile hit a 9-storey building, search operations continued throughout the night.
As of 07:00, the bodies of five more dead people were unblocked from the rubble of the partially destroyed building.
The SES noted that a total of 16 bodies had been recovered from this address, and that 21 people had been killed and 134 injured in Kyiv as a result of Russian shelling.
Later, the State Emergency Service reported that the body of another dead man had been unblocked from the rubble of a house in the Solomianskyi district. The bodies of 17 people were recovered from the house.
As a reminder, on the night of 17 June, Kyiv was subjected to a large-scale missile attack by Russia. The strikes destroyed more than 40 apartments in a multi-storey residential building and one of the entrances collapsed.
