Another 1245 bodies returned to Ukraine: repatriation phase of Istanbul agreements completed

Ukraine has completed the last stage of repatriation of the bodies of the dead in accordance with the agreements reached in Istanbul.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
On Monday, 16 June, another 1,245 bodies were returned, which, according to the Russian side, belong to Ukrainian citizens, including the military. In total, Ukraine was able to return 6,057 bodies under the Istanbul agreements.
Experts, together with the investigating authorities, will now conduct the necessary forensic examinations and identification procedures to identify the victims and notify their families.
Earlier it was reported that on Sunday, 15 June, the bodies of the fallen Ukrainian servicemen were returned. Another 1200 bodies were repatriated to Ukraine.
