Mykolaiv is one of the five cities with the highest number of applications for compensation under the state programme «eVidnovlennia» and ranks seventh in Ukraine in terms of the number of applications considered.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council with reference to an analysis conducted by an accredited representative of Transparency International, who examined the work of 177 relevant commissions.

Residents of Mykolaiv have already filed 4,471 applications for compensation under the state programme «eVidnovlennia». Of these, 2,382 have already been approved for more than 126.8 million hryvnias, while another 1,709 have been rejected.

The city complies with the organisational requirements of the programme: no violations were found in the commissions, they include 18 members of the public (the largest number among cities), and representatives of international organisations are involved.

The commissions work mostly remotely, which allows them to make decisions quickly. Information on their activities is available on the official website of the Department of Housing and Communal Services.

eVidnovlennia in the Mykolaiv region

Since 10 May 2023, Ukraine has been operating a compensation programme for damaged housing «eVidnovlennia».

Mykolaiv region is among the five regions leading in terms of the number of compensation received for damaged property under the programme «eVidnovlennia».

Thus, during the year, residents of the Mykolaiv region whose property was damaged as a result of Russian aggression were paid 140 million hryvnias under the programme.

As you know, starting from 1 January 2024, Ukrainians who have repaired damaged housing as a result of Russian aggression at their own expense may also claim compensation.

In September 2023, a resident of Mykolaiv, convicted of collaborationism, applied for compensation for his property damaged by Russian shelling under the programme «єВідновлення». The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, noted that the collaborator would not receive any money from the state.

Earlier, Mykolaiv region was among the top five regions with the most applications under the «eVidnovlennia» programme. However, the region has the lowest rates of consideration of these applications. Therefore, the Ministry of Recovery urged Mykolaiv commissions to speed up their processing: «This will help owners receive assistance to restore their homes before the autumn and winter cold».

Currently, 30 commissions for the restoration of housing damaged during the full-scale invasion are working in Mykolaiv region under the programme «eVidnovlennia».

And in January this year, the first resident of Mykolaiv purchased an apartment under the housing certificate «eVidnovlennia».

Earlier it was reported that under the programme «eVidnovlennia», 330 million hryvnias of compensation for damaged property have already been paid to residents of Mykolaiv region.
