President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia mobilises 40,000 to 50,000 people every month, while Ukraine mobilises about 25,000 to 27,000.

He said this during a meeting with journalists, NV reports.

The head of state stressed that any signals from the United States about a possible improvement in relations with Russia only encourage its leadership to strengthen mobilisation measures.

Earlier, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, noted that the total mobilisation resource of the Russian Federation is about 25 million people, including both people liable for military service and specialists in related professions. At the same time, there are about 3 million servicemen in Russia who are actually trained for combat.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws extending martial law and general mobilisation from 9 May to 6 August 2025.

It should also be noted that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, almost 45,000 Ukrainian men of military age have illegally travelled abroad. Another 30,000 were detained while trying to cross the state border.
