A common space for veterans is being created in Mykolaiv and Odesa

On 24 April, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Mykolaiv with the Odesa-based Veteran Hub. The plan is to create a common space for support and adaptation of veterans.
This was reported by the correspondent of NikVesti.
The event was attended by representatives of both centres, specialists, veterans and officials.
«This centre is not just a space for services. It is a place where veterans should feel needed, confident and strong,» said Vitalii Lukov, Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv.
In his turn, Volodymyr Yermakov, director of the Odesa Veteran Hub, stressed the importance of interregional cooperation.
«We want this space to become a part of a veteran's life, not just an office where they seek help. We do not provide ready-made solutions — we walk alongside,» said Volodymyr Yermakov.
As part of the event, the participants got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Mykolaiv Veterans Support Centre. In particular, the adapted space, rooms for individual and group work, an event hall and a gym for physical rehabilitation. Special attention was paid to the children's room, where children of veterans can stay during consultations.
It should be noted that the Centre also provides psychological support for the wives of military personnel.
Earlier, it was reported that a Veteran Hub, a space to support soldiers who have returned from the frontline, is planned to be created in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region.
