President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the preparation of solutions to strengthen the city amid Russian strikes.

The Head of State made the announcement during his visit to the city.

«I held a meeting here today with all those responsible for security. Our military, the Unmanned Systems Forces, were also present. We have determined what we need to give Kherson to provide more protection. Thousands of Russian drone strikes against this city every month, in fact, there is a constant threat. I decided that our Unmanned Systems Forces, Magyar Birds and other units would increase their capabilities here. Specifically, defence capabilities. It is important to implement all this. We have identified tasks for road protection and logistics — the government will help,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He also thanked everyone who defends the city, as well as teachers, children and doctors.

«He also heard a report on the construction of new medical infrastructure facilities in Kherson region. Already 11 institutions have underground hospitals. I thank everyone involved. It is important when lives are saved even when the enemy is trying to take them away,» the Head of State said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Kherson on Tuesday, 11 November, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the city's de-occupation.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine is preparing a programme to protect Kherson and other frontline cities from Russian drones.
