Industrial parks in Mykolaiv region

In July 2024, the Committee on Economic Development held an offsite meeting in Mykolaiv. It discussed the creation of two industrial parks in the Mykolaiv region: the private «Techno Park Voznesensk» and the municipal «Mykolaiv».

The villages of Novofedorivka and Berizky, Nova Odesa and Bashtanka also submitted their project proposals for the creation of parks.

Prior to that, in March 2024, the Mykolaiv industrial park «Energy» was removed from the official register due to the lack of reports on its work. Since 2018, it had been located in Korabelnyi district and occupied a 36-hectare plot of land.

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, believes that the state should help create technology and industrial parks in the areas destroyed or damaged by the war to provide jobs and fill local budgets.

And Dmytro Falko, Secretary of Mykolaiv City Council, believes that the free economic zone will help open a «window of opportunity» for investors who will come to Mykolaiv and be ready to invest in business.

At the same time, Oleksandr Pasichnyi, MP, believes that Mykolaiv needs to study the experience of creating industrial parks in order to attract investors and replenish the city budget in the future.

The newly registered SUNART industrial park is planned to be built in the Kryve Ozero community of Pervomaiskyi district, Mykolaiv region.
