Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov met with Denys Zhelo

Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov met with Denys Zhelo, former advisor to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitalii Kim on anti-corruption issues.

Denis Zhelo announced this on his Facebook page.

At the meeting, they discussed the fight against corruption in law enforcement agencies and courts in the region.

«In the morning, I met with the Head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov. We discussed the issue of combating widespread corruption in the law enforcement and judicial systems of Mykolaiv region. We developed a roadmap and a joint action plan. I was pleasantly surprised: Budanov not only has a thorough understanding of the situation on the front lines, but is also well versed in the country's internal processes. During the dialogue, he emphasised that he would fight internal enemies as resolutely and uncompromisingly as external ones,» Denys Zhelo wrote.

Denys Zhelo became an advisor to Vitalii Kim in January 2021, and in June of the same year, he resigned, explaining this by a difference in approaches to anti-corruption activities.

As is known, on 2 January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Kyrylo Budanov as head of the President's Office. He added that Kyrylo Budanov has experience in these areas and «sufficient strength to achieve results».
