US President Donald Trump said he expects Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to arrive in Washington on 17 October.

He said this during a joint briefing with Argentine President Javier Millais at the White House.

According to Donald Trump, one of the topics of the talks will be the supply of Tomahawk missiles.

«He needs weapons. He would like to have Tomahawk. And everyone else wants Tomahawks. We have many, many Tomahawks,» Donald Trump said.

Also recently, Donald Trump said that the decision to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine «was to some extent made», but stressed that he did not want to escalate with Russia.

He noted that he is ready to give Ukraine Tomahawk cruise missiles if the war with Russia is not resolved. According to him, such a statement is an element of pressure on the Kremlin, and he plans to discuss this issue personally with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Ukraine's use of Tomahawk missiles «would damage relations between Moscow and Washington». Later, the Kremlin stated that it was waiting for concrete decisions from the United States on the possible supply of cruise missiles to Ukraine.
