President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that after his talks with US President Donald Trump, Ukraine will be able to receive new types of weapons to hit remote targets in Russia.

The head of state said this at a press conference in Copenhagen after the seventh summit of the European Political Community, according to NikVesti with reference to Ukrinform.

«Before that, we used only our long-range weapons system. After my meeting with the President of the United States, we may have something more. I don't know, we'll see,» Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that Ukraine is doing everything possible to enlist the support of the United States not only in the military, but also in the political and economic spheres.

The President also stressed the importance of demonstrating strength in the war with Russia:

«The heroic resistance of the Ukrainian military destroys Russian narratives about «the rapid capture of the country», he said.

As reported earlier, NikVesti wrote that Zelenskyy had arrived in Denmark for the European Community summit.

Later it became known that the Netherlands opposed the accelerated procedure for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
