President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called US President Donald Trump's statement that Ukraine can return all the occupied territories a positive signal.

He said this in an interview with Fox News.

«A little bit (surprised, — note). Yes, I was. I mean, I'm confident in my people, in my army and in the strength of the support of the United States, but the US president was more positive about it and he showed that he wants to support Ukraine to the very end. So we understand now that we are ready to end this war as quickly as possible. He wants to, I want to, our people want to, but he (Trump) has realised that Putin doesn't want to, and he (Trump) sees that he (Putin) is not going to win, but he tells everyone that he will», Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the change in the US president's rhetoric is «a very positive signal».

«Yes, it was a surprise for me. But I saw that Trump and America will be with us until the end of the war. We'll see, but God willing, it will be so», the President of Ukraine added.

As a reminder, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, said that in his opinion, Ukraine has every chance of regaining its entire territory within its original borders. At the same time, he wished both sides of the armed conflict «success».
