Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin «remains open» to a settlement of the war through peaceful negotiations.

Dmitry Peskov, quoted by Russian media, said that «Putin, like Trump, remains interested in a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian situation».

At the same time, he blamed the West for the lack of progress, calling the UK «one of the leaders of the camp of war supporters». Dmitry Peskov said that London was putting pressure on Russia, supporting sanctions and allegedly hindering the conflict resolution.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov said that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are currently on hold.

As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he was not opposed to meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but that the venue for the talks should be Moscow.
