President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has outlined three main blocks of security guarantees for Ukraine: the army, NATO support and sanctions against Russia.

The Head of State announced this at a briefing on Friday, 29 August.

The first is the army. It is about preserving the current number of the Armed Forces and their proper provision with weapons through production in Ukraine, Europe and the United States.

«In my opinion, this block consists of financing the number of personnel that is available today. The ability to finance the army in the number that is currently defending our borders. No one says more, because no one will give more. But we cannot say less, because we are not going to conduct relevant experiments,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

The second bloc is NATO. These are agreements with partners at the highest level on their readiness to support Ukraine in the event of new aggression.

The third is sanctions against Russia. Zelenskyy stressed the need for further pressure on the Kremlin and the use of frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the teams of Ukraine, the United States and European partners are working on an architecture of security guarantees for Ukraine, and all relevant developments will be ready in the coming days.
