Trump does not want to attend a possible meeting between Putin and Zelensky

Donald Trump has said that he is not seeking to participate in a possible meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Sky News, the head of the White House told reporters during a press conference on Friday.

According to Trump, the relationship between the two leaders is «like oil and vinegar», and he would «not want to get involved».

«We'll see if Putin and Zelenskyy can work together. You know, it's like oil and vinegar — they don't get along very well, for obvious reasons. But we'll see. And then it will become clear whether I will have to attend. I would prefer to avoid it,» he said.

Earlier, during a conversation with US President Donald Trump, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin proposed holding a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Moscow.
