As part of the Third International Summit of Cities and Regions, Mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych signed a Memorandum of Long-Term Partnership with the municipality of Montpellier (France).
He announced this in his telegram channel.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will cover education, culture, sustainable development and economy.
«This is an important step towards strengthening international relations and implementing the strategy of Mykolaiv's recovery through partnerships. I am grateful to my French friends for their support, trust and shared vision of the future of our city,» said the mayor.
As a reminder, in January, Ambassador of France to Ukraine Gael Veyer and Head of the European Investment Bank's Eastern Europe Regional Centre Christine Mikulova paid a working visit to Mykolaiv. Following the meeting, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that one of the main topics for discussion was the issue of drinking water supply.
