Ukraine will receive another 400,000 rounds of ammunition from the Czech Republic this year

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that next year Ukraine will receive an additional 400,000 pieces of ammunition as part of a Czech initiative.

He made the announcement after a meeting with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

According to Shmyhal, in 2024, Ukraine has already received about 1.5 million shells of various calibres. Since 2022, total military assistance from the Czech Republic has reached $900 million. In addition, the amount of annual support has been increased to more than $43 million.

The two prime ministers also agreed to boost trade, as well as partnerships in the energy, agriculture, healthcare, transport and reconstruction of Ukraine.

The parties also discussed the expansion of military, financial and humanitarian aid, as well as strengthening cooperation in the defence sector, including training of Ukrainian F-16 pilots.
