Kremlin: Putin is ready for direct talks with Ukraine without preconditions

During a meeting with US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Russian leader Vladimir Putin reiterated his readiness to hold talks with Ukraine without preconditions.

This was reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitrii Peskov, as quoted by Russian media.

«Yesterday, during a conversation with Trump's envoy Vitkoff, Putin reiterated that the Russian side is open to resuming negotiations with Ukraine without any preconditions,» Peskov said.

He also added that Putin had expressed a similar position before.

As a reminder, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valerii Gerasimov reported to Vladimir Putin on the complete liberation of the Kursk region.
