Kim believes elections in 2025 are possible under conditions of truce and cancellation of martial law

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, believes that elections can take place in the event of a ceasefire and the end of martial law in Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with TSN.

«Possible. A truce plus 6 months and elections. It is possible. Lifting martial law is legally possible. Do we need it or not? Perhaps we need a reset, but the responsibility will be on the people», says Vitalii Kim.

According to him, elections are necessary, but for the country's development, it is necessary to elect a strong person who is able to cope with the current and future problems of Ukraine.

«Elections are necessary, but we need to choose the person who will «carry the» load. It is not easy. Even at my level, and at the level of the state, it's... and the problems that will be and are in Ukraine in the next five years, you have to think 10 times about whether to go to the polls or not, because it will be a suicide government. We need strong people, and it's up to the people to choose who they will elect. If populists are elected, there will be grief, if strong managers are elected, there will be a result», Vitalii Kim summed up.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the presidential and parliamentary elections could take place only after the hot stage of the war is over and provided that Ukraine has a strong position.
