In Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region, there are plans to develop a concept and design and cost estimate documentation for the creation of an industrial park.
This information has been published on the DREAM digital system, NikVesti reports.
The project creator on the DREAM system is Bashtanka City Council. The cost of developing the concept and construction project for the ‘Bashtanka’ industrial park has been provisionally estimated at 1 million hryvnias.
«Implementation of the project will ensure the preparation of the necessary documentation to attract funding and investors, and the subsequent development of the industrial park with a view to the community’s economic development,» the statement reads.
There are already two industrial parks registered in the region, but neither of them is operational yet. These are the SUNART industrial park in the Kryve Ozero community and the «Techno Park Voznesensk» industrial park in the Voznesensk community.
The Regional State Administration’s Department of Economy also added that the region has a Programme to encourage the development of industrial parks for 2025–2027. It covers 50% of the cost of projects to develop industrial parks in the region.
Industrial parks in the Mykolaiv region
In July 2024, an off-site meeting of the Committee on Economic Development was held in Mykolaiv. The meeting discussed the creation of two industrial parks in the Mykolaiv region: the private «Techno Park Voznesensk» and the municipal «Mykolaiv».
The villages of Novofedorivka and Berizky, Nova Odesa and Bashtanka also submitted their project proposals for the creation of parks.
Prior to this, in March 2024, the Mykolaiv industrial park «Enerhiia» was removed from the official register due to a lack of activity reports. Since 2018, it had been located in the Korabelny district and occupied a plot of land covering 36 hectares.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych believes that the state should help establish technology and industrial parks in areas destroyed or damaged by the war to provide jobs and boost local budgets.
Meanwhile, the secretary of the Mykolaiv City Council, Dmytro Falko, believes that a free economic zone will help open a ‘window of opportunity’ for investors who come to Mykolaiv and are ready to invest in business.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian people's deputy Oleksandr Pasichnyy believes that Mykolaiv needs to study the experience of creating industrial parks in order to attract investors and replenish the city budget in the future.
The recently registered SUNART industrial park is planned to be built in the Kryvoozerska community of the Pervomaiskyi district in the Mykolaiv region.
And in January 2025, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, spoke about plans to create an industrial park in the region.
