It flew around five times and crashed, — eyewitnesses describe drone attack on train in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, during the drone attack, eyewitnesses saw the drone circling five times over the railway station and then falling onto the tracks.

An eyewitness to the incident told a correspondent from Nikvesti about it.

According to her, the drone flew around the station several times — at least five circles. People stood on the platform and watched it fly above them. She says that everyone understood that the drone would fall sooner or later because it had been in the air for too long.

«It flew over us for a long time, circled and finally fell. We all saw it. We all stood still, with our mouths open, watching it fly. It circled the area five times. Everyone understood that it had to fall somewhere — it couldn't circle forever. Some people even took photos,» the woman said.

The eyewitness notes that there is no shelter at the station, so there was nowhere to hide. When the calls to hide were heard, people were confused — there were only parked cars nearby.

«And then, when it started to descend, people started shouting to take cover. But where? Near the cars? There is no shelter at the station. We didn't go to the station building because we could see that the drone was flying in that direction. So we ran in the opposite direction. And then there was an explosion. It was a shock,» the woman said.

The eyewitness also claims that the workers had just left the carriage when the drone almost immediately dove right there. It all happened in a matter of seconds.

«It circled for over 30 minutes. People started to close everything and disperse. We understood that it would end in a crash. It was an ordinary carriage, and there were employees there. They had just left, and almost immediately the drone dove in there. It all happened in seconds,» says the woman.
