Mykola Lohvinov, director of OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo, stated that the Riviera residential complex must resolve the heating issue independently.
He said this in a comment to NikVesti.
As is known, ice formed on the windows of apartments in the Riviera residential complex due to the lack of heating.
«Riviera approached us two years ago. We explained to them that we could take the boiler room on our balance sheet, assume the debts and pay for it. They came up with the idea that we should buy this boiler room. We will not buy it, definitely not. It's old junk. They fought with Naftogaz for two years and still signed a restructuring agreement. Now let them play with it, it's their property. Let them install generators and figure out how to provide heat. Riviera has nothing to do with us,» said Mykola Loрvinov.
We would like to add that in early December, residents asked not to be included in the schedule of planned power outages, as they only use electrical appliances for heating.
Why is the Riviera residential complex without heating?
At the end of December 2023, residents of the Riviera residential complex, who had not had heating for a month at that point, protested against the forced transfer of their boiler rooms to the ownership of the Mykolaivoblteploenergo municipal enterprise due to the management company's debt of 7.8 million hryvnias.
The residents of the buildings stated that they were ready to pay their own debt of 1.7 million hryvnias, but categorically refused to pay for the obligations of ZHEK-5.
The co-owners of the Riviera residential complex say that they own three gas-fired rooftop boiler rooms that provide heat to the entire residential complex. Until April 2023, these boiler rooms were operated by EK ZHEK-5 LLC.
It is noted that the residents' debt for heating amounts to only 1.7 million hryvnias, with another 400,000 hryvnias owed for heating commercial premises located on the first floor of the residential complex. Based on this, the residents of the building do not understand where the debt of 7.8 million hryvnias came from.
Due to the unwillingness of EK ZHEK-5 LLC to solve the problem, the co-owners of the Riviera residential complex decided to create a condominium association. However, even the Riviera Mykolaiv housing cooperative, which was registered in accordance with the established procedure, does not have the rights and obligations of EK ZHEK-5 LLC, so there is still no heating.
A month later, in January 2024, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, suggested that the residents of the Riviera residential complex, who had not been provided with heating due to debts, pay all their obligations. According to him, this is the only way out of the situation.
Recently, it became known that ice had formed on the windows of apartments in the Riviera residential complex due to the lack of heating.
According to resident Olha, the power company said that it was impossible to reduce the duration of power cuts for their residential complex.
