This season, the inclusive beach «Bezmezh» in Odesa was visited by about 160,000 people.
Yurii Dehas, an entrepreneur and initiator of the first inclusive beach in Ukraine, told this in an interview with the «Sukhanov Says» programme, NikVesti reports.
«I can say that we have received about 160,000 people at the inclusive beach. Only this season. There are about 60,000 people with certificates — veterans, people with disabilities, the elderly. That's a lot,» says Yurii Dehas.
According to him, the inclusive beach «Bezmezh» is not profitable — it was created as a socially responsible space.
«No, it's not about money. The commercial beach Kaleton, which is also fully inclusive, is also commercial. There are paid services there. It fully maintains an inclusive beach. [...] You know, there's no good story, really. There was a territory where there was no beach, and it became a question of doing something there. We could have built another commercial project. But not everything in our lives is about money. I wanted to show that business can be socially responsible, and that one business can maintain a cool project, and it will be a synergy of one space,» he said.
As a reminder, in March 2025, Odesa began restoring the inclusive beach at the 11th station of the Big Fountain. 19.5 million hryvnias was allocated from the city budget for its overhaul and re-equipment of infrastructure.
From June to September 2025, residents of Mykolaiv with musculoskeletal disorders were transported to the inclusive beach in Odesa free of charge.
