Civilians and police officers were injured during shelling of Kherson and the region

Over the past day, Russian troops shelled Kherson and a number of settlements in the region. A 75-year-old woman was killed and nine other people were injured, including three police officers.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the shelling took place on 27 October at around 16:45. Russians opened artillery fire when the woman was in her yard. She died on the spot. Law enforcement officers opened a war crime investigation.
In addition to Kherson, Komyshany, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Inhulets, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Novodmytrivka, Tekstylne, Beryslav and other settlements came under fire.
A total of 17 objects were damaged: an apartment block and six private houses, infrastructure, outbuildings, a garage and three cars.
In Komyshany, two police officers were injured by an FPV drone strike — one sustained concussion and the other sustained abdominal injuries. In Tekstylne, a Russian drone attacked a 50-year-old man, who was hospitalised with a head injury. In Inhulets, an FPV drone hit a civilian car, injuring a 61-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man.
Dniprovskyi district of Kherson was also under fire, and a 44-year-old police officer was wounded in the morning. Several private houses and a garage were damaged.
According to the head of the RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, Russian troops continue to hit residential areas and civilian infrastructure in the region on a daily basis.
The day before, the Russian army shelled 38 settlements in the Kherson region. Eight high-rise buildings, 19 private houses, an outbuilding, a garage, cars and a gas pipeline were damaged.
