On 14 October, Russian troops attacked a United Nations humanitarian mission in the Bilozerka community of Kherson region.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the Russians attacked a convoy of trucks of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Ukraine) with drones and artillery.
Four white vehicles with humanitarian mission markings came under fire. One of the vehicles was completely burnt down and another was seriously damaged. Two other vehicles managed to avoid damage.
According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured among the mission's staff.
The Ukrainian authorities stressed that the humanitarian convoy had nothing to do with military transport and was delivering aid to civilians in the region.
«Russia has once again shown its true and disgusting face by attacking a humanitarian mission in the Kherson region. Today «the second» army of the world defeated several tonnes of «humanitarian aid». Terrorists — nothing more to say here», wrote Alexander Prokudin.
As a reminder, yesterday Russian troops attacked 33 settlements in Kherson region. Artillery shelling and drone strikes hit 11 high-rise buildings, 24 private houses, an educational institution, a botanical garden, a shop, a garage, an administrative building and several cars. Eight people were injured in the attacks.
