Odesa continues to deal with the aftermath of the 30 September storm. Special commissions have started inspecting the housing stock for further compensation.

This was announced by Oleksii Kuleba, Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

As of now, almost 800 damaged houses have been recorded — about 500 multi-storey buildings and 300 private houses. The number of appeals from residents is growing.

According to him, rescue, utility and energy services are working around the clock. Currently, water is being pumped out at 38 sites in the private sector. Around 900,000 cubic metres of water have been diverted, 147 tonnes of debris removed and 13 emergency building structures dismantled. The flooded shelters have been completely drained, dried and prepared for reuse.

Part of the city still has no electricity supply, but repair crews continue to work. Water and gas supplies have been restored and are operating normally. More than 200 «Points of Invincibility» have been opened in the region.

About 3,000 people and over 660 pieces of equipment, including forces from other regions, were involved in the disaster response.
