Yesterday, on 10 September, an evacuation vehicle exploded in the Kherson region while it was working. The tragedy killed one law enforcement officer and injured four other people.

This was reported by the head of the Beryslav city military administration, Volodymyr Lytvynov.

According to him, the evacuation team of three police officers was returning from Beryslav to their temporary deployment after completing their tasks. The day before, they had already come under enemy fire.

While leaving the city, a utility company vehicle hit an explosive device. The explosion killed one police officer, injured two of his colleagues and two employees of the utility company of the Beryslav community.

Volodymyr Lytvynov urged the residents of Kherson Oblast who are still in the areas of active hostilities to evacuate as soon as possible.

«This tragedy is a reminder that every evacuation takes place under fire, under the threat of explosions and death. And everyone who stays in the dangerous area puts not only themselves but also those who come to help at risk,» he stressed.

As reported earlier, NikVesti has already written that on 10 September, the Russian army attacked 33 settlements in the Kherson region. Five civilians were injured.
