As of August, more than 8,000 facilities in the Kherson community were damaged by shelling by Russian troops.

This was reported by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, on the air of the telethon «Yedyni Novyny».

«The residential sector suffered the most - more than 7,500 houses. Among them, more than 6,500 are private houses, and almost 900 were completely destroyed. In multi-storey buildings, 9 houses were also completely destroyed,» he said.

According to his official, the shelling is not limited to residential areas: medical, educational, cultural and administrative institutions have been damaged. Critical infrastructure remains a constant target of the enemy, and some facilities are beyond repair.

The Head of KhCMA stressed that such actions indicate a deliberate tactic of the occupiers aimed at making it impossible for Kherson residents to live a normal life.

As a reminder, during the day on 27 August, the Russian army attacked Kherson region 37 times with artillery and drones.
