Massive attack on Kyiv: 14 killed, dozens wounded, search continues under rubble

On the night of 17 June, Kyiv suffered a large-scale missile attack from Russia. According to preliminary reports, at least 14 people were killed and 55 others were injured.
This was reported by the head of the KCMA Timur Tkachenko, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko.
The strikes destroyed more than 40 apartments in a multi-storey residential building and one of the entrances collapsed. Rescuers are working at the scene and search operations are underway as people may still be trapped under the rubble.
In total, 27 buildings in different districts of the capital were damaged, including residential buildings, educational institutions and critical infrastructure. Most of the injured have been taken to hospitals. Rescuers continue to unblock people from entrances, apartments and rubble.
Also on the night of 17 June, Russian troops attacked Odesa with attack drones. The strike damaged residential buildings, an inclusive centre, a children's institution, garages and several cars. As of the morning, 13 people were reported injured.
