Financial Times: Russia may have deliberately targeted Boeing office in Kyiv during air strikes

During the recent shelling of Kyiv and other cities by drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, one of the targets was a building in the capital used by the US aerospace company Boeing.

The Financial Times reports this, citing company employees, Ukrainian officials and the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Photos from the scene, confirmed by the newspaper, show significant damage to the building and the work of rescuers. Sources suggest that the strike was targeted at the American company.

It should be noted that Boeing is actively operating in Ukraine with more than 1,000 employees. The main activity is engineering support and cooperation with the State Enterprise «Antonov». In addition, the company did not stop its operations after the attack, and there were no injuries among its staff. The company noted that it continues to hire specialists for its Ukrainian office.

The attack on the US company could trigger a reaction from US President Donald Trump, the FT notes, given his increasingly harsh rhetoric against Moscow's actions.

As a reminder, Trump recently said that Russia's shelling of Ukraine over the past few days was a response to the operation to destroy strategic aircraft «Pavutyna». According to him, Ukraine «gave him an excuse to go and bomb them to smithereens».
