Hostile «Shahed» damages kindergarten in Mykolaiv

A kindergarten in Mykolaiv was damaged by a Russian drone strike at night. Windows were smashed and the roof was damaged.

Representatives of the emergency service told the correspondent of NikVesti that the enemy drone crashed into a tree near the kindergarten.

The building's windows and doors were blown out by the blast wave. The roof was also damaged. The city's utilities have already removed the debris and managed to cover some of the windows with OSB boards.

The attack on Mykolaiv on 25 May

As you know, on Saturday night, 25 May, the Russian army launched dozens of drones at Mykolaiv. The first shelling in the city was heard around 00:50. The city authorities reported that the city was under attack by kamikaze drones.

A five-storey building in Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv was hit. People were trapped under the rubble. Rescuers managed to unblock the body of one of the residents at 6am. The victim was a 77-year-old man. In addition, 5 other people were injured, including a teenager.

Mykolaiv rescuers managed to pull a girl out of the rubble.

Authorities also reported that the night attack on Mykolaiv damaged infrastructure, office buildings and private homes. Power lines were damaged in different parts of the city. Two floors of an apartment building were destroyed, and the debris hit a nearby multi-storey building.

Law enforcers have already opened criminal proceedings over the night shelling of Mykolaiv on the grounds of war crimes (Article 438(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, noted that the 25 May attack on Mykolaiv was the most massive in recent years.
