Russian troops attack Zaporizhzhia: houses, educational institutions and railway company damaged

On the evening of 1 May, Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. At least 10 strikes were carried out in the city. Private houses, high-rise buildings, educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
As of the morning of 2 April, the number of people wounded in the shelling increased to 29. Among the wounded is a 13-year-old child. 12 people are currently in medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia. The victims of the shelling were diagnosed with concussions, explosive injuries, cut wounds, burns and fractures.
It is also reported that 27 multi-storey buildings, more than 10 private houses, non-residential buildings and educational institutions were damaged.
«It will take several days to assess the condition of all damaged buildings. However, since the night before, the utility companies have started to eliminate the consequences of the attack»,» said Ivan Fedorov.
The premises of Ukrzaliznytsia's locomotive repair plant, a civilian enterprise specialising in the repair of passenger electric locomotives, were also destroyed.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia's, the fire was extinguished only in the morning. The staff on duty were in a shelter, so there were no injuries or deaths at the plant.
As a reminder, Russian troops continue to shell populated areas in Mykolaiv region with attack drones.
