Russia continues shelling Kherson region after announcement of «Easter truce»

The Kherson Regional Military Administration noted the continuation of Russian drone attacks in the region after 18:00, when the Russians allegedly announced an «Easter truce».

This was stated by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

«This is how the Russian «Easter truce» looks like in the Kherson region», he wrote.

According to him, at around 18:00, 7 apartments in a high-rise building in the Dnipro district of Kherson caught fire as a result of the hit of 8 Russian FPV drones.

At 19:05, a Russian drone hit a civilian car in Urozhayne. An hour later, another drone attacked the village. At 19:12, a Russian FPV drone hit Stanislav.

Oleksandr Prokudin noted that there is no «lull».

«The shelling continues and civilians are under attack again», he added.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on another Russian attack with attack drones that took place after 5pm on Saturday, 19 April. According to him, this demonstrates the true attitude of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Easter and human life.

This comes on the heels of the Kremlin's announcement of the so-called «Easter truce» announced by Putin. The Russians declared their readiness to cease fire from the evening of 19 April to midnight on 21 April, but only if Ukraine complied with the ceasefire.
