Drone attack on Dnipro: three dead, including a child, dozens wounded

On the night of 17 April, Dnipro came under a massive attack by Russian drones, killing three people, including a child. According to recent reports, at least 28 people were injured, including four children.

Among the victims are a 9-month-old girl and boys aged 6 and 11, said the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

Three more people were hospitalised as a result of the drone attack on Dnipro. These are boys aged 16, 18 and 20. Their condition ranges from satisfactory to moderate.

Some of the victims were hospitalised. Numerous damages were recorded in the city, including residential buildings, educational institutions, dormitories, businesses and cars. The impact caused several fires, which rescuers have already extinguished, the State Emergency Service said.

«A dozen apartment buildings and the same number of private houses were damaged in the city. A school building, a dormitory, and a gymnasium were damaged.» In addition, a food processing plant, post office, printing house, administrative building, shops, almost a dozen cars were damaged,» said Lysak.

One of the strikes occurred near the city council building. Among the dead were a young girl and an elderly woman. The State Emergency Service later reported that the death toll had risen to three, including one child.

Later, the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, said that 30 people, including 5 children, had been injured in the Russian attack. 16 of the wounded are in medical institutions, one of them in serious condition.

On the evening of 16 April, the Russians also attacked three communities in Mykolaiv region. In one of the districts, the Russian army attacked with an FPV drone, which caused a fire in an open area. It was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
