President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law and general mobilisation from 8 February to 9 May 2025.
This is stated in the cards of bills 4220-IX and 4221-IX.
The President submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law and general mobilisation in Ukraine on 14 January, and on 15 January, the Parliament voted for the relevant bills.
Ukraine has extended martial law and mobilisation for the 14th time, which were due to expire on 8 February 2025.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that elections in Ukraine are very important, but they can only be held after the hot phase of the war is over and martial law is lifted.
