Russia launches over 100 drones at night, Ukrainian air defence shoots down 57

On the night of 27 January, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 104 Shahed attack drones and various types of imitation drones.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The Russian attacks were repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

«As of 09:00 a.m., 57 Shahed and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Another 39 Russian imitator drones were lost in the area», the statement said.

As reported, on the night of 27 January, air defence forces in Mykolaiv region destroyed a Shahed 131/136 attack drone.
