Over a week, 65% of Russian drones were shot down over the Kherson region. In addition, most FPV drones do not reach their target.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
«Over the week of 6-12 January, 10 drones of the «Wing» type, 1238 FPV and «Lancets» type, and 3 «Shahedi» type were destroyed. In total, we managed to shoot down about 65% of all drones launched in our region during the week. At the same time, on average, 90-95% of FPV drones do not reach the target and are neutralised by various means», he said.
According to him, there is no 100% protection with electronic warfare equipment, but he assures that the equipment that is constantly being transferred to the military saves hundreds of civilian lives.
«But we are striving to maximise the effectiveness of drone suppression. However, the enemy is also not standing still and is upgrading these weapons of destruction. Currently, the Russians have started using fibre-optic drones that are not affected by electronic warfare systems. Together with the military, we are already looking for solutions to effectively combat this threat», assured Oleksandr Prokudin.
Earlier it was reported that 10 people were wounded in the shelling in Kherson region yesterday, 12 January. Russians shelled 36 settlements in the region.
