Finland will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth about 200 million euros. This is more than $217 million.
The aid package will include artillery ammunition to help in the war with Russia, Reuters reports, citing the Finnish Ministry of Defence.
It is noted that today, 13 March, Finland and Ukraine signed a bilateral agreement on defence cooperation. In particular, the countries agreed to deepen defence cooperation, including in the field of armaments, intelligence sharing, and ammunition production.
Earlier it was reported that Finland has launched a new programme to support Ukraine, which provides for the purchase of military products from Finnish defence companies instead of transferring stocks. The country's Ministry of Defence plans to allocate 660 million euros to implement the initiative.
